Step 1 - Photo
A GPS Photo is taken with a special device that is provided by Track Me Live.
This Photo can only be taken with this device
To have your photo taken with this device please come to registration on Friday Before the event between 09:00 am and 17:00pm at Adventure Equipment Australia.
This is the way we confirm that you and your race bib and tracker is with the correct runner and no mistakes are made.
-
Step 2 - Collect Your GPS Tracker
Our GPS Tracker is a separate device from your race bib timing chip.
At the CPTU we use two methods of timing and tracking our runners.
The GPS Trackers have limited charge on them, to ensure that your GPS tracker works for the duration of the event, your tracker must be collected within the battery lifetime window of your race.
Arrive between 1 hour and 90 minutes before your race start to collect your GPS tracker on race day at the start line of your event.
-
Step 3 - GPS Tracker Placement
To ensure that you’re GPS tracker works effectively we will tape your tracker to the shoulder strap of your race vest or in your race vest’s top pocket or back neck pocket.
It must be placed in this pocket by itself with no other race kit.
If you put your GPS tracker in your race pack it may not transmit a strong enough signal.
