CPTU Pacers
PACER RULES
It is highly recommended that all runners on the course after Check Point 5 The Bump Track are accompanied by a “registered pacer” or another “registered runner” from Dusk onwards on Saturday 3rd September.
Pacers must carry all the mandatory gear that is required on the course.
No “mule-ing” (someone carrying your gear for you). Any pacer found mule-ing for their runner will result in a 2 hour Time penalty to the runner’s time. The runner must carry all their own water, food, mandatory gear and cannot accept food or water from their pacer.
Pacers are not able to mechanically or physically aid their runner outside of the checkpoints.
If you are an elite runner on the course and in contention for a podium position therefore cash prizes, you are only allowed one pacer with you between checkpoints at any given time. If you are not racing for cash prizes you may have more than one pacer with you on the course at a time between CP5 The Bump Track, and the finish line.
