Volunteers, we need you!
Hosting an epic event like the Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra is only possible with the selfless help of the trail running community. An event like the Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra will need 200+ Volunteers to ensure the race runs smoothly and is as safe as it can be. CPTU volunteers who join our team are called Legends! We’ve made up special Headskinz so our Legends can be easily identifiable throughout the race weekend.
We believe in giving back as much as we can to help our Legends, which is why we are offering great incentives for those who help with the organisation of the CPTU-2022. If you’d like to become a CPTU Legend and join the CPTU Team, we have positions in the following roles;
Pre-Race Rego - All Events
Pre-Race GPS Tracker Allocation - CPTU120, CPTU40, CPTU80
Forerunners - Checking the course before the front runner comes through the system - Kuranda Wrights Lookout Rd, to Black Mountain Rd. The Bump Track - Finish Line.
Sweepers - The CPTU team will support sweepers so they won’t have to carry the markers for long periods.
Finish Line Medal Awarders - CP2 Kamerunga, CP3 Kuranda, Finish Line.
Marshals - Helpers Across the course.
Logistics - Helpers Across the course.
