SUUNTO Sports Watch Partners with Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra
Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra is excited to announce our new partnership with Suunto Australia.
Suunto Sports Watches are at the forefront of design and innovation and have been a life-saving tool since 1936. The Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra team utilised the Suunto Sports Watches features while designing the dense Wet Tropics World heritage Listed Course.
The Suunto App heat map and the navigation feature saved the CPTU team hours in reconnaissance while in a Lock-Down in another Australian city. We highly recommend the Suunto Sports Watches to our entrants because they can upload the GPS maps onto their watch to aid their navigation while out training and racing. Knowing the Suunto Sports Watches battery life will outlast our cut-off times for our events. We know Suunto Watches are easy to use, even tired when racing or training because we've been using Suu to Sports Watches since 2012.
We love chasing vert as much as Suunto loves measuring it; this is why we've developed the ultimate challenge, the CPTU - Suunto Summit Climb. The CPTU - Suunto Summit Climb is your chance to be crowned the fastest person to travel up the brutal Smiths Track at Kamerunga CP2 to the peak of this track and the highest part of our course. This King and Queens of the Mountain-style event is part of the CPTU120, CPTU80, CPTU20, OUCH! CPTU40 entrants can finish their event and then race the CPTU- Suunto Summit for fun after their race! There will be tears, quads will melt, and it will be loads of fun!
