CPTU - New Maps

We are edging closer to capacity at the Cairns Port Douglas Trail Ultra.

Jump on our website now and secure your spot at the Early Bird special price. We’ve added CPTU120, CPTU80, CPTU40, CPTU80, and CPTU20 Entries. We need to be careful with our numbers as international shipping is slow, meaning we are ordering our medals and buckles now. Our first 500 Entries also receive a complimentary limited edition CPTU Race Singlet.

We’ve made some slight course changes to avoid road crossing for you. The first change is on Stoney Creek Road adjacent to checkpoint 2 Kamerunga, Morris Memorial Gates Park. You will now be using the Creek Tunnel that passes underneath Stoney Creek Road. You will also be using the trail at checkpoint 2 to avoid the road section. See Diagram Below;

The other major road crossing we will be avoiding that we are highly pleased with is the Kennedy Hwy. We again found a way to cross the Highway underneath it using the space under the Barron River Bridge at Kuranda. You will cross the Barron River on the East Side of the Bridge, then turn right, loop back on yourself, and pass under the bridge to make it to the other side of the Kennedy Hwy. You will then join the footpath on the West Side of the Bridge, then turn left onto Black Mountain Road. See Drawing below;

We’ve updated the Maps on Trace de Trails. You can download the GPX Files and KML Files from our Map Page. Stay tuned for ITRA Point confirmations.
